How to Use and Care for Your Cosmetic Contact Lenses

Even if you don't need glasses or prescription contact lenses, cosmetic lenses still require a professional fitting and proper care to protect your eye health.

DO

• Wash and thoroughly dry your hands before handling your contact lenses.
• Inspect your lenses for tears or damage before inserting them.
• Clean, rinse and disinfect your lenses after each use, using fresh, suitable contact lens solution.
• Store your lenses overnight in a clean contact lens case containing fresh disinfecting solution.
• Insert your contact lenses before applying eye makeup or costume face paint.
• Remove your lenses immediately if you experience discomfort, redness or blurred vision.

DON'T

• Wear your lenses longer than the manufacturer's recommended daily wearing time.
• Sleep, shower or swim while wearing your lenses.
• Clean or rinse your lenses with tap water, bottled water or saliva.
• Reuse old contact lens solution or top up solution already in your case.
• Share your contact lenses with anyone else.
• Wear lenses that are damaged or past their replacement date.

Important: If you experience eye pain, persistent redness, sensitivity to light or changes in vision, remove your lenses and seek urgent professional eye care.
